We’re Handy Development, a web agency based in Bristol, founded by me, Matt Hand, in 2024. We’re passionate about building digital solutions that make life better for everyone. Our journey began with building proprietry software for startups in mobile intelligence and fraud prevention, today we continue help people and organisations bring their ideas to life.

Experience That Matters

Over the past 4 years, we’ve worked on secure APIs for identity verification, effective UI’s for viewing complex data, and websites for local businesses and charities.

Our background covers core web technologies like JavaScript and PHP, frameworks such as Codeigniter, Laravel and React. We enjoy exploring a variety of technologies such as Python and Rust, and building small game projects. Recently we have been exploring Phaser.js to create fun and interactive user experiences and web games.

Why We Went Independent

After successful careers in mechanical manufacture enginering and education we took our expertise and progressed to the world of web development.

With 3 years of experience working with SME’s during exciting phases of growth, we were inspired to focus on projects that align with our values such as tech for good, community, and creativity. Being independent means we can choose partnerships and challenges that genuinely resonate with us and with you.
